French House Plans
French-inspired homes can be identified by several defining accents. French house plans are often finished with brick, stone, or stucco. In many cases, all three are incorporated into the design finishes. Hip roofs and flare eaves are also common traits to the style. Dormers, multi-pane windows, round towers are equally distinct features of french home designs.

French style architecture has several variations. The first variant is the French Provincial style. Tall second-story windows (often with arched tops) is the most identifying feature. Then there is the French Normandy style. A round stone tower topped by a cone-shaped roof is the most notable feature In French Normandy architecture. Last is the French Eclectic style which is recognized mostly by decorative half-timbering. Moreover it uses architectural details such as pediments and pilasters.
