Modern Contemporary House Plans
Modern Contemporary house plans and Shed house plans were and still are popular. These styles date back to the early 1950’s. The contemporary home occur in two subtypes based on roof shape: flat or gable. Both are usually clad with various combinations of wood, brick or stone absent traditional detailing. Both subtypes are commonly one-story homes, but two-stories are not uncommon.
Modern shed roof house plans are recognized by their multi-directional shed roofs. Roof-wall junctions are smooth and simple with a single board used for a cornice. They are generally seen with wood shingles, board siding, brick veneer, or a combination of the three.
