The Dunleith house plan is a Greek Revival house plan inspired by the “Dunleith” original home, Natchez, MS – circa 1856
** This home is designed with Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) walls. **
A simple box in design, but grand in appearance. This stately colonnade house plan has a total of 26 Doric columns surrounding the home. It includes full porches on the first and seconds floors that wrap around the entire house. With four floor levels, this historic house plan design has plenty to expand and grow, all things considered. An elevator makes traveling from the basement to the second floor a breeze.
The first floor of the Dunleith house plan
The main floor has a parlor which is another way to describe a formal living or sitting room. A study abuts to the parlor and separates it from a spacious dining room at the rear of the home. In addition to these rooms there is a gourmet kitchen which opens to a casual breakfast space. A two sided fireplace divides the breakfast and family room which is located at the from of the home.
The second floor design
The Dunleith house plan has four bedrooms including the master suite on the second floor. Each bedroom has a private bathroom. From the second floor you can take the stairs to the fourth floor (attic) to make use of this space as storage. Similarly, the space cans easily be use for entertaining, or whatever you heart desires.
Basement floor rooms
The full basement has a theater room as well as a hobby room, full bar, billiards, and entertainment room.
Fun Facts: The original Dunleith was featured in the James Brown biopic “Get on Up” in 2014.
