Mediterranean House Plans
Mediterranean house plans embody the characteristics of homes found in Mediterranean countries such as Spain, Italy, and France. Homes of this style generally have a low-pitched roof with wide overhangs. The roofs are normally finished with red tile, but can also be shingled. Stucco is a common exterior finish; however, stone or brick can be used as well. Other features include extensive outdoor living areas on the floor plans, the use of columns, and arched windows & openings. One story Mediterranean designs are most common, but two story house plans are just as popular.
