Description
The Burn house plan is a Greek Revival home plan inspired by the original “Burn” house in Natchez, MS – circa 1834
This one and a half story Natchez historic house design has all the charm of the home it replicates. The Burn home plan embodies Greek Revival architecture. Although it is a fraction of the square footage offered in the original home, the Burn house plan is cleverly scaled down to just under 3,200 sq ft. This Greek Revival house features 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms.
The Burn House plan first floor
The first floor of this luxury house plan has living areas for the entire family. The foyer has a unique u-shaped staircase that is of the same design in the original Burn house plan. Left of the foyer is where the formal dining room is located. It has direct access to a large gourmet kitchen with a center island that has space for eating casual meals and snacks. The kitchen flows freely into the breakfast room and family room which features a center fireplace. Moreover, the ceiling from the kitchen to the family room has a faux beam ceiling to add interest and depth.
On the right side of the foyer there is a flex room. This room can be used as a study; however, you can opt to use it as a guest bedroom with access to a full bath. In addition to those options, this room can be an office, den, or a play room.
Second floor rooms
The second floor includes a split bedroom design. The master bedroom is on the left side of the home and has its own bath and walk-in closet. Bedrooms two and three are positioned on the right side and share a bathroom. A laundry closet is also located on this floor. In addition to this, the gable roof above the front porch has enough space beneath it to house a raised loft, which is ideal for a reading or sitting area.
